LizBeth's place was so cozy and charming, it felt like you stepped back in time. It was conveniently located. It's a 15 min walk to old town, 20 min or less drive to beaches, restaurants, shops and a great starting point to Haleakala. It was in a quiet neighbourhood which we appreciated. LizBeth provided us with everything we needed including beach chairs, coffee, tea, breakfast loafs, towels, water cooler, and even blankets for Haleakala which came in handy! She was always checking in and responded quickly whenever we had a request.

We had a wonderful time at LizBeth’s Airbnb - it was amazingly appointed with everything a guest could possibly need. She was attentive & welcoming & helpful. The unit and the surrounding gardens were lush and beautiful. Everything was spotlessly clean. Could not have asked for a better Maui experience. Thank you!

We had an amazing stay. The host is extremely responsive and helpful. The room was extremely clean and was equipped with everything we needed. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Great location if you are looking to drive the Road to Hāna or go to the National Park. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect—just a short trip into downtown Paia and the local beaches. It was also a very convenient base for our sunrise trip to Haleakalā National Park, taking only about an hour to reach the summit. The room itself was quiet and cozy, providing a great night's sleep. We especially loved the garden; it’s absolutely beautiful and filled with lush plants, tropical birds, and little lizards. A true island oasis!

Such a beautiful place and in a really great location if you're planning on exploring different parts of the island. It was central to so much, and the drives were either along really easy highways or beautiful, scenic roads. Super easy to checkin and the room was comfortable and clean with everything I could've needed. Communication was great and loved getting a treat in the morning :) Would definitely stay here again!

We loved staying here - the garden was beautiful, the setting was charming, and LizBeth is a responsive and proactive host! We were especially appreciative of her willingness to allow us to store luggage on our arrival day so we could take full advantage of exploring nearby Haleakala National Park without lugging our bags around.

This historic former inn is the essence of the real Hawaii. Beautiful and amazing garden filled with a majestic tree and native plants and flowers. Lizbeth was a charming and gracious host. We will definitely return to this slice of paradise.

My mom and I were in town from Tennessee for my 40th birthday and the Maui marathon. I opted to stay upcountry at the beginning of the trip for a more relaxed vibe. Upcountry Maui is simply amazing. We spent four nights in the serene orchid room and could’ve definitely stayed longer. We felt completely cozy and comfortable. The linens were sumptuous and the beds were heaven. LizBeth was an amazing host, she was very responsive and provided much-appreciated amenities such as quality toiletries, plush toilet paper (a big deal) and a water dispenser. This attention to detail belies a certain thoughtfulness that is rare and precious. She also took a lot of time to write a thoughtful guide and provide us with delicious snacks every day. Makawao is very cute and walkable with adorable shops and do not miss Maui cookie lady! We also easily did the road to Hana and Haleakala sunset from the property. Five stars all around.

This was our first trip to Maui, and LizBeth was entirely accurate when she said Makawao was the perfect place to stay when exploring all that Upcountry has to offer. We truly enjoyed our stay! The unit was incredibly comfortable and charming, and we enjoyed coffee overlooking LizBeth’s beautiful yard and gardens each morning after restful nights of sleep. LizBeth’s guidebook to Maui was so helpful as well…there’s nothing like the insight of a local to make a trip special. At each step, LizBeth communicated incredibly well. Weeks before our trip, Maui was hammered by storms. LizBeth gave us updates on the conditions and all the post-storm cleanup work. It really put our minds at ease. I could go on, but hopefully you get the point: we couldn’t recommend LizBeth’s place any higher. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.
